Register now for the next BIRTHFIT Basics Workshop!
More than just a pregnancy workout, this course will help prepare you for a functional, safe pregnancy, and an active birth!
Our goal with BIRTHFIT in Raleigh is to educate and empower women to continue to move functionally, safely, and maintain physical activity throughout pregnancy and into the postpartum period. The organization rests on four pillars that we believe are crucial to a healthy pregnancy (and life): fitness, nutrition, chiropractic, and mindset. We are trying to get the word out to women and their partners that a mindful pregnancy leads to better outcomes for mother, baby, and the entire family.
It’s not just about getting fit – we encompass all four of the BIRTHFIT pillars in our BIRTHFIT Basics Workshops. That is why the Workshop is ideal for moms interested in any of the following:
- learning to achieve and maintain functional movements throughout pregnancy
- discovering what exercises to avoid during a pregnancy workout
- physically preparing the body for the task of labor and birth
- connecting with both baby and body through movement
- maintaining a safe and effective level of fitness throughout pregnancy
This is a four hour course that lives up to its name: we cover the basics! You’ll learn basic functional movements, an overview of real food nutritional guidelines beyond “eat small meals and avoid lunch meat”, simple ways to incorporate mindset training into your daily routine as you prepare to meet your baby, and the importance of chiropractic care during pregnancy. The courses are ideal for women who are currently pregnant or are hoping to become pregnant soon, but is appropriate for any woman who is looking to improve herself and her health through movement and community.
